We are delighted that Patcham Memorial Hall (PMH) is in the Aviva Community Fund for a second year! Our “Renewal for Remembrance 2018” Plan will help us to complete the refurbishment of the Hall, as a tribute to people of Patcham for whom the Hall was built after The Great War. We plan to re-establish our full stage facilities so that Patcham can welcome more performances - children’s shows, speaking events, drama and comedy, films, recitals and rehearsals - by installing new curtaining, lighting and changing/storage rooms. And to complement last year’s disabled access improvements of wheelchair-capable toilets, we’re putting in an Audio Induction Loop, for people hard of hearing. This is a last push to enable our Celebrating the Peace weekend of 11th November 2018 to happen in style! We’ve plans for a live music ‘costumed’ tea-dance, screening the Brighton-filmed ‘Oh What a Lovely War’, and recitals of WW1 & Peace poetry and songs.
